We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Citizen Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize in geriatric nutrition and be committed to enhancing the dietary health and overall wellness of our elderly clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement personalized dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine health goals and dietary plans for senior patients.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary plans and make adjustments as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on healthy eating habits, nutritional awareness, and the management of age-related dietary concerns.
- Stay updated on the latest nutrition research and potential impacts on senior health care.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of dietary recommendations and plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certified.
- Experience in geriatric nutrition or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on working well with the elderly.
- Strong understanding of the dietary needs and challenges faced by the aging population.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
